Watch what you wear!

This is for Sophia.  It is another beautiful and sunny day.  The trees are swaying lightly so there is a wind.

I hear children playing outside.  They ride their bicycles around the apartment building.

I thought I brought my "Boston Strong" T-shirt, but I did not.  So, I decided to wear my orange colored shirt.  I went to my "space" set up for the day of work.  It was Friday, so the weekend as just around the corner.  I am talking with Nitin and others around me.  (The IPMs are starting to talk to me not only laugh at what I say.  I am warming up to them.  I never that I was that scary of a person.)  **Let me get back on track...**  Who comes by to get to his space and makes a comment on my orange shirt?  "WHO IS ASHISH!"  He calls me Orange Candy.  Then he finds a picture of a Fanta Orange soda girl.  See attachment A.
I am throwing the orange at WHO IS ASHISH.

I will be wearing my one and only traditional India outfit for Family Day tomorrow, but he will not be there. I don't have to worry neither will Sharmeen.

When the taxi drives me to the office, each day we are stopped at the gate and the guard checks for bombs or whatever else under the taxi.  It has taken me a few days to feel comfortable about this.  I would prefer the vehicle was checked before I got in it at the apartment.  I get dropped off in the front of the building with all the others.  All bags and packages go through an xray machine and everyone has to go through a metal detector.  If anyone causes the detector to go off, there is a guard (person) with a wand (same as the airport TSA) to check that person out.  We have to wear our badges ALL THE TIME.  After you get into the building, then you scan your badge to get to the other side where the elevators are.  Then off we go to work...

It is funny how impatient people are waiting for elevators.  We are on the 7th floor and there are 8 elevators.  People are waiting for the DOWN elevators.  There is always that person who will press the Up and Down arrows.  It is so funny.  The elevators come very quickly - to me.

The elevators in the apartment has fake grass carpet in it.  They can fit a baby stroller with a baby in it and 3 people.  Once you press the floor you want to go to the fan starts up and blows air on you.  There is a female voice that tells you the floor you have chosen.  There are 10 floors in this apartment starting at "0".  In the USA you would start at "1".  Only at the "0" floor does the true "elevator" music start playing and the female voice says "Ground Floor".  The female voice is from England.

Shanawaz, Nitin, Vijeta and I went to BBQ Nation at Time Square in Mumbai.  I went in another auto rickshaw.  I remembered to duck to get in.  One lump not 2 is the best phrase.  We were sitting at the table and the waiter brings a charcoal grill and puts it into the center of the table.  Then the skewers of fish, prawns (shrimps for the US people), chicken, vegetables, pineapple and other iems.  All of the skewers are warming over the coals.  The food was amazing.  The waiters brought Tandoori Chicken leg (for those who know me - I did eat a little dark meat on the bone!), Red Snapper that did not taste like fish, lamb which did not taste like the lamb I have eaten and so many other dishes.  I found out this was only the "Starters" and there was a buffet with so many other dishes and desserts.  I was so full from the starters I did try a few bites of desserts.  It was great.

Yikes!  I have finished my coffee...I need more - Back in one moment.
I am back...

Nitin is a very talkative person in the office, but at the restaurant he said virtually NOTHING.  I tried to get him to talk.  Once we were back in the office he started taking again.  Curious???

I have always had great respect for Shanawaz.  For a man so young he earns the respect of others so easily.  I have told him before I wish I was a mature as he is at his age.  He is very so spoken, but assists everyone.  I know he shakes his head at questions and inquiries I ask him, but I always get answers.  He has time to for everyone

I never really knew Vijeta when she was an IPM.  She is quiet but very funny.  I have enjoyed her company.

Well the guys are here so time to go...Rohit has brought me lunch...
